A deliciously flaky treat that combines fresh spinach with tangy feta cheese, creating perfect bite-sized appetizers or snacks.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pastries 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Puff pastry sheets
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Herbs (parsley, dill, or your choice), chopped
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface, making them just slightly less thick to fit your desired size.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, softened cream cheese, chopped herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Cut the rolled pastry into squares or circles, depending on your preference.
  5. Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
  6. Fold the pastry over to cover the filling and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork for a decorative touch.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden finish while baking.
  8. Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.
  9. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy the delightful flavors and textures.

Notes

Make sure the spinach is well-drained to avoid soggy pastries. Chill the pastry until ready to use for better puffing.
