Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Puff pastry sheets
- 2 cups Fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup Cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Herbs (parsley, dill, or your choice), chopped
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface, making them just slightly less thick to fit your desired size.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, softened cream cheese, chopped herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Cut the rolled pastry into squares or circles, depending on your preference.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold the pastry over to cover the filling and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork for a decorative touch.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden finish while baking.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy the delightful flavors and textures.
Notes
Make sure the spinach is well-drained to avoid soggy pastries. Chill the pastry until ready to use for better puffing.
