- 4 cups peaches (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, milk, and melted butter until well combined in another bowl.
- Pour the batter over the peaches, making sure it spreads evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
Notes
Use fresh peaches for the best flavor and serve warm with ice cream.
