  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, milk, and melted butter until well combined in another bowl.
  4. Pour the batter over the peaches, making sure it spreads evenly.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.

Notes

Use fresh peaches for the best flavor and serve warm with ice cream.
