Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup Milk
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup Whipped cream
- 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a sheet pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely on a cooling rack.
- Whip the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the powdered sugar and whipped cream until fully combined.
- Once the cake is cool, cut it in half horizontally. Layer the first half with half of the whipped cream mixture and half of the strawberries.
- Place the second half of the cake on top, spread the remaining whipped cream mixture on top, and garnish with the rest of the strawberries.
- Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful dessert!
Notes
Let the cake cool completely before layering. Use almond milk for a dairy-free option.
