Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, these turnips are packed with flavor thanks to a combination of Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium Turnips
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup, grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • Chopped Parsley, to taste (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and slice the turnips into thin rounds, about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Toss the turnip slices in olive oil until they are evenly coated, then coat them with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated turnips in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the turnips are golden and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving to add a fresh flavor.

Notes

Ensure turnip slices are evenly coated for better crispiness. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
