A deliciously wholesome bread option perfect for breakfast or snacks, featuring rolled oats and chia seeds for a nutty flavor and satisfying texture.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8 slices 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the water, honey (or maple syrup), and olive oil until thoroughly combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb some moisture and help the bread rise.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the batter sit to enhance texture. You can use agave syrup instead of honey.
