- 1 cup Glutinous rice flour
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 10 Fresh strawberries, hulled
- Cornstarch or potato starch for dusting
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water until smooth.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute.
- Stir the mixture, then microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes until the mochi mixture thickens and becomes translucent.
- Dust your surface with cornstarch or potato starch, then transfer the mochi dough onto it.
- Let it cool slightly before kneading the dough gently with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Divide the dough into small pieces, flatten each piece in your palm, and place a strawberry in the center.
- Wrap the dough around the strawberry and shape it into a ball.
- Roll the finished mochi in cornstarch to prevent sticking.
Notes
Dust with plenty of cornstarch to prevent sticking. Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
