Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water (if using) and add to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into equal pieces and shape each piece into a bagel with a hole in the center.
- Preheat your air fryer or oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the bagels in the air fryer basket or on a baking sheet, spacing them out properly.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and sounding hollow when tapped.
- Cool slightly before serving warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a chewier texture, knead the dough well. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
