  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions using eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Once mixed, pour the batter into the lined cupcake pan.
  3. Bake according to the mix instructions, typically around 18-22 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Once baked, let the cupcakes cool completely.
  4. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and chocolate chips to create the cookie dough. Mix in a teaspoon of vanilla extract for a richer flavor.
  5. In another bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and powdered sugar together. Then, add milk and another teaspoon of vanilla extract to make the frosting smooth and fluffy.
  6. Once the cupcakes are cooled, scoop out a small portion from the top of each cupcake and fill it with cookie dough. Finally, frost the cupcakes generously with the prepared frosting, adding extra chocolate chips or cookie dough on top if desired.

Notes
