Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cooked and mashed chickpeas
- 1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil for frying, as needed
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed chickpeas and sweet potatoes until well blended.
- Add the oat flour, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, ensuring there’s enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Scoop small portions of the mixture and form them into patties, approximately 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Fry each fritter for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Ensure the oil is adequately heated for a crispy finish. You can also use gluten-free flour if needed.
