A flavorful dish transforming cauliflower into hearty steaks topped with melted cheese, perfect for vegetarian meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head Cauliflower
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional) to taste
  • Paprika (optional) to taste
  • Herbs (optional) to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the green leaves from the cauliflower and carefully slice it into thick “steaks” about 1-inch thick.
  3. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you like, such as garlic powder or paprika.
  4. Place the seasoned cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Flip halfway through until they are golden brown and tender.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese generously over each steak.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot as a delightful side or stand-alone main course.

Notes

Cut cauliflower into thick steaks for even cooking. Use plant-based cheese for a vegan version.
