- 1 large head Cauliflower
- 1 cup Shredded cheese
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder (optional) to taste
- Paprika (optional) to taste
- Herbs (optional) to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Remove the green leaves from the cauliflower and carefully slice it into thick “steaks” about 1-inch thick.
- Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you like, such as garlic powder or paprika.
- Place the seasoned cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Flip halfway through until they are golden brown and tender.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese generously over each steak.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot as a delightful side or stand-alone main course.
Notes
Cut cauliflower into thick steaks for even cooking. Use plant-based cheese for a vegan version.
