- 3 Ripe medium bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (100g) Granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) Packed light brown sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas thoroughly until mostly smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until fully combined with the bananas.
- Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Avoid overmixing for the best texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
