These air-fried cauliflower wings are a game changer for your weeknight meals or parties, crisp on the outside and packed with flavor.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1-2 teaspoons sriracha (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for about 3 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, garlic powder, and salt until smooth. Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter, let the excess drip off, and coat them with breadcrumbs.
  3. Place the coated cauliflower wings in the air fryer in a single layer and air fry for about 12 to 14 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. While the wings are cooking, heat the oil in a small saucepan and sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha to the saucepan, stirring to combine.
  6. Mix cornstarch and water in a bowl to make a slurry, then add it to the saucepan. Allow the mixture to simmer until it thickens.
  7. Once the cauliflower wings are out of the fryer, toss them in the sauce until well-coated. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

Ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking. You can swap cow’s milk for almond milk for a nutty flavor.
