Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound of unsliced sourdough bread
  • 1 pound of Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • ½ cup of chopped green onions 
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons of poppy seeds

Instructions
 

  • Once you have prepped the bread, drizzle the butter mixture over it. Try to pour as evenly as possible.
  • Cover the bread snugly in foil.
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the foil-covered bread on it.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Then unwrap the foil and bake again for 10 minutes till the cheese has melted, and the edges of the bread have developed a golden crust. You can add some grated cheese later and melt it for a few minutes right before serving.

Notes

Party breads are great because you need to mop up the extra sauce off the plate. They are easy to make, and if you choose the ingredients carefully, they can be quite healthy. The best thing about party breads is that there are no rigid rules on how you can make them.
