- 2 cans white beans (cannellini or navy)
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If desired, lightly grease your baking dish.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened (3-5 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed onion and garlic with the white beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute ketchup with homemade tomato sauce or use less sugar.
