Instructions

  3. Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until the mixture is fluffy and lighter in color.
  4. Beat in the large egg, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice into the butter mixture until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients from the first bowl until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chopped fresh strawberries.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges. Allow them to cool on a wire rack before serving.
