Ingredients

  • 1 Puff pastry sheet
  • 1 cup Fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Artichokes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 cup Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes to taste
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and thaw the puff pastry until flexible but cold.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss together the spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic, and seasonings until smooth.
  3. Cut the puff pastry sheet in half, spread the filling on one half, cover with the other half, slice into six strips, and twist each one into a swirl. Brush with egg wash.
  4. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These swirls can be customized with different spices or ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes. They can also be made vegan with dairy substitutes.
