- 1 Puff pastry sheet
- 1 cup Fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 cup Artichokes, chopped
- 1/4 cup Shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/8 cup Cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Garlic clove, minced
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cracked pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and thaw the puff pastry until flexible but cold.
- In a mixing bowl, toss together the spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic, and seasonings until smooth.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet in half, spread the filling on one half, cover with the other half, slice into six strips, and twist each one into a swirl. Brush with egg wash.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These swirls can be customized with different spices or ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes. They can also be made vegan with dairy substitutes.
