- 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Food Coloring (optional)
- Powdered Sugar for Dusting (as needed)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by cleaning thoroughly or lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water. Stir gently over medium heat until boiling; refrain from stirring and let it simmer to 250°F (121°C).
- Dust your hands and work surface with powdered sugar. Roll the hot candy into ropes about 1/4 inch thick and cut into 1-inch pieces. Dust with additional powdered sugar and let set for at least 2 hours until fully hardened.

Store the candies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
