Indulge in the refreshing flavors of Vanilla Strawberry Iced Tea that perfectly combines sweet strawberries and soothing rooibos, ideal for warm afternoons or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Strawberries
  • 600 ml Water
  • 4 tsp Red rooibos tea
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla seeds (from one vanilla pod)

Instructions

  1. Bring 600 ml of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 teaspoons of red rooibos tea. Cover the saucepan and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the tea into a large jug, discarding the tea leaves. Allow it to cool to nearly room temperature.
  3. Prepare the strawberries by removing the stems and discarding them. In a blender, add your strawberries and blend them into a smooth purée. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain it through a fine strainer.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey into the cooled tea until fully dissolved. Then, add in your strawberry purée along with 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla seeds. Mix well to combine everything, ensuring every glass will have that rich flavor.
  5. Serve over ice in your favorite glasses, finishing off with fresh strawberry slices on top if desired.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. This iced tea can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
