  • Hershey’s Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture; mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  7. Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and create indentations in the center for the Hershey’s Kisses.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then press a Hershey’s Kiss into each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack and adding festive sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for a firmer texture. Uncooked dough can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
