Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup tahini
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk until evenly mixed.
- Whisk together the vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract in another bowl, then add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the brownies fudgy rather than cakey. Pour the batter into the greased pan and add spoonfuls of tahini on top. Use a knife to gently swirl the tahini into the batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter to achieve a fudgy texture. Try using nut butter instead of tahini for a different flavor.
