A delicious appetizer combining crunchy crostini with creamy Brie, juicy pears, and tart cranberry sauce, perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • Olive oil, to brush
  • 8 oz Brie cheese
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 ripe pear, sliced
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme, for garnish
  • Toasted walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces, brush each side lightly with olive oil, and bake for about 10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the cranberries start to burst and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and cool.
  3. Layer each crostini with a generous portion of Brie cheese, spoon a dollop of cranberry sauce on top, add a slice of pear, drizzle with honey, and garnish with fresh herbs.
