Ingredients
Scale
- 1 French baguette
- Olive oil, to brush
- 8 oz Brie cheese
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 ripe pear, sliced
- Honey, for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary or thyme, for garnish
- Toasted walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces, brush each side lightly with olive oil, and bake for about 10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the cranberries start to burst and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and cool.
- Layer each crostini with a generous portion of Brie cheese, spoon a dollop of cranberry sauce on top, add a slice of pear, drizzle with honey, and garnish with fresh herbs.
