- 1 chai tea bag
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- 1/4 cup cherry juice or cherry syrup
- 1 tablespoon sweetener (optional)
- Ice, as needed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for cold foam)
- 2 tablespoons cherry syrup (for cold foam)
Instructions
- Brew the chai tea in a mug by steeping one chai tea bag in a cup of hot water for about five minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
- Prepare the cherry cream cold foam by whipping the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold in the cherry syrup.
- Combine the brewed chai with cherry juice or syrup in a glass. Sweeten if desired, fill with ice, and top with the cherry cream cold foam.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; whipped cream foam should be made just before serving. For a stronger chai flavor, double the number of tea bags.
