A refreshing blend of sweet apples and soothing green tea, perfect for warm days and gatherings.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 green tea bags or 2 tsp loose leaf green tea
  • 1 apple, any sweet variety, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated (optional)
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by bringing your water in a kettle or pot to a near boil.
  2. Add the green tea bags or loose leaf green tea to the hot water, along with the thin apple slices and grated ginger if using. Let steep for about 2 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain the loose tea.
  3. While the tea is warm, stir in honey to taste. Allow to cool, keeping the apple slices inside to infuse more flavor. Refrigerate until chilled.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the apple-infused green tea over the ice. Garnish with a slice of apple and a sprig of mint or basil.

Notes

Avoid boiling water to prevent bitter tea. Thin apple slices infuse better flavors.
