Delightful heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies, soft and perfectly sweet for Valentine’s Day.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture and fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the dough. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden, leaving the centers soft. Cool for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Consider using gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version. Customize flavors by adding nuts, dried fruit, or swirls of chocolate.
