Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture and fold in the chocolate chips.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the dough. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden, leaving the centers soft. Cool for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Consider using gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version. Customize flavors by adding nuts, dried fruit, or swirls of chocolate.
