- 4 ounces Cream Cheese (softened)
- 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 sheet Gluten-Free Puff Pastry (defrosted)
- 1 Large Egg (beaten for egg wash)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon Milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Unroll gluten-free puff pastry on a clean surface, cut into 6 equal rectangles.
- Prick the centers of each pastry with a fork.
- Spread the cream cheese filling in the center of each pastry.
- Brush the edges with the egg wash.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and mix powdered sugar with milk for glaze.
- Pipe glaze over danishes and serve.
Notes
Feel free to add lemon zest or fresh fruit on top before serving for extra flavor.
