Instructions
- Combine warm milk, warm water, and active dry yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix together flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and citrus zests.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or braid. Place it in a greased baking pan.
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and orange juice until smooth for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.

Ensure your yeast is fresh for optimal rise. For a dairy-free version, use almond milk instead of regular milk.
