Ingredients

- 20 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place stuffed shells in the dish and top with remaining marinara sauce and additional mozzarella if desired.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Taste your filling before stuffing to adjust seasonings. You can freeze extra shells; just layer them with parchment paper.
