- 1 bunch Fresh asparagus
- 1 cup White vinegar
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Salt
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 cloves Sliced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon Dill seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Trim the asparagus to fit snugly into your jar.
- Combine white vinegar, water, salt, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and add sliced garlic, red pepper flakes, and optional dill seeds.
- Pack the asparagus into your jar and pour the hot brine over it.
- Allow to cool to room temperature, then seal and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
Notes
Allow to chill for at least 24 hours for best flavor. Use fresh ingredients for maximum crunch.
