  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat the egg and vanilla extract into the butter and sugar mixture until well blended.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the maple syrup and optional chopped nuts.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
