- 1 cup tapioca pearls
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups brewed black tea
- 1 cup milk or non-dairy alternative
- 2-4 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
Instructions
- Boil the 4 cups of water in a pot until bubbling.
- Add the 1 cup of tapioca pearls and cook according to package instructions (usually 5 to 10 minutes) until soft and chewy.
- Rinse the pearls under cold water and drain them.
- Brew 2 cups of black tea in a separate pot and let it cool slightly.
- In a glass or shaker, combine the brewed tea, 1 cup of milk, and 2 to 4 tablespoons of sugar. Stir well until sugar dissolves.
- Add the cooked tapioca pearls to the glass, then pour the milk-tea mixture over the top.
- Fill the glass with ice and stir well before serving. Enjoy your homemade Boba Milk Tea!
Notes
For a lactose-free version, substitute regular milk with almond or soy milk. Experiment with flavors by infusing brewed tea with mint, vanilla, or seasonal syrups.
