- 1 Large Egg + 1 Yolk
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 3/4 cups (220 g) All-Purpose Flour
- 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 1/2 cups (255 g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat until it turns golden brown.
- Combine warm brown butter with sugars in a mixing bowl and mix until creamy.
- Add egg, yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then fold into wet ingredients until no flour streaks remain.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Transfer dough to a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough portions onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart, and bake for 12-13 minutes.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before cooling the cookies on a wire rack.
