A cozy fall dessert featuring ripe pears baked to perfection and topped with crumbled feta, honey, and dried cranberries. A delightful balance of sweet and savory, perfect for entertaining or a comforting treat.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 6 halves 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 75 grams crumbled feta cheese
  • 30 ml olive oil or melted butter
  • 30 grams dried cranberries
  • 30 ml honey
  • 1 gram ground cinnamon
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the pears:Brush the cut sides of the halved and cored pears with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle lightly with ground cinnamon.
  3. Bake the pears:Place the pear halves cut-side up in the baking dish. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until they are tender but still hold their shape.
  4. Add toppings:Remove from oven and immediately top each pear with crumbled feta and dried cranberries. Drizzle generously with honey.
  5. Garnish and serve:Optionally, garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute feta with a vegan cheese that crumbles well. You can also add chopped nuts or pomegranate seeds for variation. Best served warm, but leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
