Ingredients

  • 1 bag Earl Grey tea
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, soy, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves (optional)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by bringing a cup of water to a boil. Once it reaches a rolling boil, pour it into a mug and add the Earl Grey tea bag. Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. While your tea is steeping, heat your milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir it occasionally to prevent boiling. Once warm and steaming, remove it from heat and combine with maple syrup, vanilla extract, and spices, whisking until well combined.
  3. Remove the tea bag and pour the brewed tea into your prepared mug. Froth the flavored milk until light and airy, then pour it over the tea while holding back the foam. Top with the foam and a cinnamon stick if desired.
