Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and fit it into a tart pan, pricking the bottom with a fork.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese evenly over the pastry base.
  5. Arrange the asparagus pieces on top of the cheese.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the asparagus and cheese.
  7. Bake the tart in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.
