Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ounces chocolate pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 large egg white
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
- Prepare two 6-ounce ramekins by spraying them with nonstick cooking spray and setting them aside.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and chocolate pieces.
- Melt the mixture in the microwave for 60-90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg white, large eggs, and granulated sugar until frothy and well combined.
- Slowly pour the egg mixture into the melted chocolate mixture, mixing carefully to combine.
- Sprinkle the all-purpose flour into the bowl and gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F, then carefully place the ramekins in the basket and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Keep an eye on the cakes as they cook, looking for popped-up tops with crispy edges.
- Let the ramekins cool for a minute, then run a sharp knife around the edges and flip onto a serving plate.
Notes
Watch closely to prevent overcooking. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for a delightful treat.
